I would have taken Ricky Owubokiri to the World Cup instead of Efan Ekoku, if I was the coach
I am happy

Ricky, Boniface, Ekoku and Akpoborire were excellent club players. I doubt that they could ever replicate their club form in the green jersey.

Akpoborie was good for Nigeria. It was the mafia led by Amockachi that kept him out of the team.

Etim Esin was arguably one of the most talented to be dropped due to attitude problems

I feel Boniface may still come through but he really has to stop pressing it when he is called up. You can see that he has some skill but I wonder if that translates well in the SE as the top striker. While the managers continue to trust him, he needs to settle or else the end will come soon.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

Watching Boniface closely in his recent club games and I see similar problems to what he is experiencing with the SE. The guy has lost something. His runs, positioning and body language don’t look right. He needs the season to end and for him to have a good pre-season. Hopefully we will see a different Boniface next season.
