Congrats to the boy. Let's not overreact tho. Those were poorly taken penalties.

my goodness are you upset he didn't hire you as an agent? what sort of bad belle be this? I think many Nigerians have very low inferiority complex . Very sad sha.. oh boy . In your own football watching eyes you only saw PKs..smh . What sort of wicked and evil talk be dis sef. The boy saved two PKS, he only saved them because they were poorly taken . My goodness

I still think the penalties were poorly taken.
Re: Harcourt ( The next big Goalie out of Nigeria)
Well, the better team fortunately went through. Thus, the outcome was no more than Nigeria deserved.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Just like that? A 16yr old get a straight promotion to SE just because he saved 2 pks? Have you seen his ball distribution? Ability to organize his defense and vampirebility?

Hopefully he'll soon get his senior team debut for Sporting Lagos. He's in a Similar situation Daniel Daga was 2 years ago starting for our U20's at a young age, so getting as much 1st team football as he can before turning 18 will aid his development before he can sign a pro contract abroad.Bigpokey24 wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 3:29 pm Like play, like play we are now getting prospects in goal

Besides the 2 fluffs penalty saves, I’ve seen nothing that suggests he’s a potential pro level goalie. You don't want to wait until he is 100% foolproof to enlist him in the senior team.
He will learn along the way, and eventually be number one.
This is how we discarded Dele Alampasu who shined during u-17 etc matches.

Did he ever play for our U17s?
