This cheating thing is deeper than football.
Samson Siasia speaking FACTs about 2008.
“I have been waiting for this job for almost three years now and that was before the 2008 Beijing Olympics. I was to be the coach of the Super Eagles after the interview conducted for the job. But that time I said no, I wasn’t ready. Now that I am ready, I am not intimidated at all. I am ready for this job,” he declared matter-of-factly" http://africanfootball.mtnfootball.com/ ... m_ID=36099

Players come last in this ladder of age cheating. Except in some cases, these players come innocuous and unaware of the requirements.

Who will bell the cat?

That is where you guys who are journalists must come into play. When the selection is made and camping is about to begin, you journalists must carry the list and do a thorough background check. When you do that you must expose all cheats . We the public and footy watchers must join in the crusade against age cheating and provide information to you guys in this quest.
You got to be kiddin.

Players are unaware of requirements for age cheating?

Journalists are in it too for "patriotic" reasons. Do you remember the Abiodun Baruwa age saga and how it was defended?

Age cheating is hard to stop if the government is not involved. I know that one of Kenya's very talented "under 17" teams was disbanded after a government official found out that some people had illegal passports. People were banned and others are still in court trying to defend themselves. I know anything is possible but I know that to get a passport in Kenya without the right paper-work for anyone including a minister is almost imposible. I say almost because I know that powerful people can do alot in any country but getting a passport to play for a football team is not something that is tolerated.
We have a corrupt and mismanaged Federation that is protected by FIFA but they can only ruin our National teams.
I am here to help...
