On a more serious note, Sanchez cannot single-handedly win it for Chile. I understand they have some talented young players who performed impressively under Bielsa, but Bielsa is no longer the coach and I don't think they will be as adventurous under a different management.

O'Shea and Brown have medicals at Sunderland. Good luck to them loyal and admirable servants of the club, wish you could stay.

I think the loss of John O'Star could hurt us more as the Da Silva boys are a bit 'plastic' and can hardly get thru 2 or 3 games before getting injured and his versatility is also fantastic, has played every position for the team including GK.

Selling O'Shea is a mistake. He has been a loyal and capable player for the club - playing in every outfield position and never lets the team down. They should sell Gibson and Obertan instead.

Oh, and Man U's 20m bid for Nasri has been rejected by Arsenal: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011 ... ed-arsenal

CONFIRMED: Wes Brown signs for Sunderland

Sad to see him go, hopefully Reece can be every bit as good and maybe even better so we can still have a Brown in the squad for some time yet

I want to see the Ravel Morrison kid. He looks dynamite in the youth team, but has serious disciplinary issues. He has a touch of the Gazza about him (big talent, small brain, short fuse).

Too much wannabe gangsta attitude, he recently got a reprieve in court, he should have bee sent down but the judge bungled it up, here's hoping he takes the chance, buckles up and sees the big picture

dammit. I wanted O'Shea to stay. :( The da Silva boys are as brittle as poppadoms. Cant see them playing 50 games per season.

dont know, there has been interest from Newcastle as well, so he might be considering his options or SAF is holding him back until he ties up one of Sneidjer/Modric/Nasri or another CM

Nicky (Nicholas Olusola) signed professionally with us in 2009, a speedy forward who did well on loan last season at Bury but far from the first team right now, at 19 I think it was a bit early to let him go, i'd prefered another year's loan in the Championship to see how he progresses
