We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

The rest are a bunch of FAs whose interest is their own. Much like the west. Everyone protecting their own interests. It's easy to lump the west together because that's essentially what it is.
I hope the Africans, South Americans and those who abhor the way the Americans and their Western European allies come together and stop these people from taking control of FIFA. Re: Blatter Resigning
You know the quote...those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat those mistakes. It's VERY true. FIFA was a good ol boys club. Let me give an example. In the 70s, the 'home' nations wanted to boycott the WC over the falklands issue. Now you tell me, what has that got to do with the purity of the sport???SylverEagles wrote:I'll admit, I dunno about this history of FIFA you refer to but then again it is HISTORY - in the past. Why do you feel the ouster of a man who allegedly collected bribes left, right and centre to enrich himself means that we will be back to those dark days? Is Blatter the only "good" man in the world? Is he the only one that can keep the baying dogs at bay? Like I said earlier, this is just PURE fear mongering!!platinum wrote: Again I urge you. Read up on the history of FIFA. If you want to watch the UEFA World Cup then that's all well and good.
Evil doesn't only come by the way of corruption! Corruption is bad, yes. But so is racism, so is marginalization, so is bigotry, so is nepotism. That's what fifa was before havelange and to a larger extent Blatter!
Between the two evils, I would abstain and if forced, I'd pick Blatter. The fact that our FAs choose to be greedy and lap the honey he fed them witht improving people is not his fault. Lets quit blaming others for our damn greed and incompetence. Our FA just bungled the jersey/kit deal....is that Blatter's fault too? Think about these things.
As for our FAs, i'm not blaming Blatter for their incompetence at all! They are just corrupt! It is precisely why we should fight that corruption ALL the time, not only when it suits us.
The man enriched himself and I'm all sorts of angry about that but if you think someone else will come in and clean things up on UEFA's side then you're not paying close enough attention. Ask yourself...why did Platini vote for Qatar? Ask yourself, why is prince ali competent to run fifa? It's not simply a matter of picking the other man because you hate the corrupt one. I don't think ayone has said only blatter can serve our interests but the history is there clearly and that's why i say READ IT. He has served africa's interests more than anyone else...that we chose to abuse that 'help' is our problem not his. Misguided missiles I think.

The cleanliness of the game which is their rhetoric is false. How can it be when they are not clean. Greg Dyke accepted a Rolex watch gift from the very people he now calls corrupt. If he was clean, he would have said no. He is not clean and it grates to hear the rubbish they spout.
I do not know if Dyke is clean or corrupt. But citing the example of the Rolex which was given to ALL 32 world cup participating teams by the Brazillian FA, during the WC is dubious.
You shouldn't be propagating this dishonesty!!!

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Why did Dyke return the watch after he was exposed by those he was criticising? If he did nothing wrong like you claim, why did he return the watch. Why is it that even now, many here in England are saying he is in no position to criticise or condemn FIFA.

The key question is why folks on a web forum about Nigerian football are arguing and abusing people? When all that is at stake here is that Blatter is going to lose his cushy job - I doubt he will even get any jail time (I hope he does though).
What do you guys LOSE by Blatter being ousted? Seriously? How many of you will continue this ridiculous argument if you hear that someone got a job over you because he financially induced the employer.
Again, let's stand up for what is right! End of story!

Isn't the bolded exactly my point? The WC is already expensive as it is, we don't need corrupt making it even more expensive with 10 million here, 50 million there for that man and this man. Doesn't FIFA charge for TV rights?
As for the red part, seriously man? That's what you are seeing me do here? Never on this forum will I ever advocate for blaming someone else for our own failures.
ALL I am saying is that Blatter and his cohorts at FIFA are corrupt (at least I know you agree with me here) and they need to face the consequences (I know you agree with me here also) so the only thing we are quibbling about here is that you don't believe all these is because of Altruistic reasons and I say "I don't care". Let them all go to jail. And as for the "hypocritical" ones, their own time will come one day too and I will gladly champion them going to jail too.

English Journalist on the radio. In FIFA, if you are a tiny nation in the South Pacific, you have one vote, if you are the USA, you have one vote. This has to change.
Another one, it can't be right that a tiny island in the southern Pacific has the same vote like Russia. We need some kind of proportional representation.
This from a man whose country has rejected Proportional representation as a voting system.
