If the agent was working for himself, he would have found a way to convince Victor to leave a guaranteed two year contract he had at Napoli, and accept reduced wages on a incentive laden deal. That is an absolutely DUMB move and anything can happen in the short window of an athletes career. You always want that guaranteed money upfront in the event an injury comes. How is it the best option? He would be devaluing himself by going on a 5 month loan to Turkey just to play regular football. It takes a couple of months to fully settle in a new environment and then it’s time to return back to toxic Napoli. And then he has to hope he gets a club who come for him in January. All potential takers now know he is desperate and would be offering both him and Napoli peanuts.

If I were him, I would stay at Napoli and make peace with the club execs and Conte, and hope to get some minutes here and there in preparation for a potential January loan move to a bigger club. He has to be strategic about this and cut out the bravado.
