The pensive Spain team currently pussyfooting about against Chile is a great demonstration of how pressure can degrade the performance of world cup athletes. This is why Nigeria's draw against Iran was so disastrous. Nigeria now MUST get at least 3 points from their remaining 2 matches against Argentina and Bosnia. Playing under those pressure cooker conditions against quality teams is not ideal.

To say Spain was affected by pressure is ridiculous. After winning the World Cup, consecutive Euros and multiple champions leagues and league titles in the interim, pressure simply does not exist.
