Re: Top scorer in the Egyptian league is a Nigerian
yes...Kanu has something to do with it. Why can't he just resign from the team as Okocha did....as long as Kanu keeps saying he is available, coaches scared of trying out new players would always call him. But if he withdraws himself, coaches have no choice but to move forward and they may unearth some hidden gem......metalalloy wrote:Easy.. what does kanu have to do with this? you should blame your NFF that fails to utilize FIFA friendly windows when we could try out these sort of players. Also, the general Nigerian public, including YOU should also bear some blame for the unrealistic expectations you set for our coaches and players where they have to win every match at all costs or bear being labeled as failures and discarded. This is why coaches call their established euro based players (or old players of old fame) or "the devil i know" for meaningless friendlies that should be used as a tool to shore up weak spots on our teams. The real deal wrote:Have u noticed how hard pipul labor to keep old players of old fame in the team @ the expense of progress???? Likes of Buba will never see light of day unless likes of Kanu et al are history
lets see how long it will take someone to open their mouth and blame the coaches for bowing to public pressure without taking into account the Nigerian environment where 90% of the footballing decisions are made based on the leading public sentiment of the day...
