Morocco's actions are the sort of sh.it that is misleading a lot of folks about ebola

I'm hearing that tourists are cancelling Christmas holiday bookings in Ghana because of ebola.

Ignorance is indeed bliss.....moroccans are viewing this from what the west have shoved down many countries throat....they lump africans as one....so once one black person gets it....the other blacks also have it.....the f--ked up part is that liberia, guinea nor sierra leone will take part in the competition....

It would have been nice if they were also suspended from CAF...
You guys still don't get it; this is a political statement by morocco - a stance they hope places them on a higher racial hierarchy above rest of Sub-Saharan Africans. Assuming their reasons are even remotely rational; so they are in essence saying they are too good to make even a sacrifice for Africa. US medical persons are lining up to volunteer and join the efforts yet you have an African Nation engaging in behaviors that perpetuate hatred and racial prejudice. Cup of Nation remains the only single event that provides a context for all Africans to come together every two years in celebration of oneness. Morocco obviously doesn't care about such oneness or what its action does to the image of Africa. They should banned from traveling to any CAF organized event; yea!

make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Not buying that.

What Morocco just pulled is compete rubbish, CAF should ban them from all CAF competitions for 5 years.

Recall same scare tactics over SARS but no one dared considered to ban Asians from traveling.

Granted there is Boko Haram and an imminent election, however CAF shouldn't give it to Garbon ahead of Niaja for hosting !! :boo:

I think the moribund organization called AU needs to be involved with CAF in all these cos Morocco's actions portray the continent in bad light. Terrible PR done by Morocco. Except that AU is moribund.

Morocco made what's best for its people and we should respect that.CAF should be the one folks should focus on. They know ebola is a major issue, and they refuse to work with the host nation, 2 months to the afcon, so now they expect some country to step in and take over. Smh ..., whoever steps in nah mugu

Moroccans do not want thousands of black Africans gathered at the same time as the rich white europeans , its bad for the tourist industry, which is their main source of income... Forget about Ebola or caring for their people

Has/Did any of the three affected countries qualify/ied? I' think Sierra Leone and Liberia are out of the running...not sure of Guinea. If so, why didn't Morocco propose curtailing fans from those countries rather than refusing to host altogether?

We got banned for three (later reduced to two) editions after pulling out in 96 less than two weeks to the tourney. So by my estimation Morocco should at least get two. The fact that they were scheduled to host should make their case even worse.

do u mean they did not think about this when they put in the bid to host? :?

This is all about the maths: Ebola + Tourism = Ebola
The two do not mix and Morocco made a "no brainer" decision
