make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

She has a greater chance of achieving her dreams with Nigeria than with Malawi, despite all the love they’ve shown her.
It’s nothing to do with how she loves one country over another, or grew up in the culture, her friends, her coaches.
Foul.
It’s simply about where she sees her bread best buttered as a professional athlete.

The day Nigeria has a football profile bigger than England, or Spain or Germany or Italy is the day you will find many of their top top players with dual nationality going the Okafor route.

Just feel sad for Malawi, who had invested in her and made her the poster child of their women's national team and the future.
Oh well,...
Kpom! That’s why I don’t have an issue with the so called innit boys that chose England over us. The only one that pisses me off is Tosin with his age and inyanga/teasing. I was also upset that Keshi took an old Shola Ameobi to the WC to sit on the bench over taking some young player.
Exactly.
Tosin’s case is a head scratcher.
You can’t blame a player for setting goals and staying focussed on that goal, but it seems Tosin isn’t able to know when to cut his losses and reset.
When at Fulham he expressed his desire to work his way back to Man City and even captain them.
It’s great to have self-belief but when does a man change direction based on the realities on ground?

That in my view is his problem.

Tosin has every right to make his own decision. However, my take is that if Nigeria somehow qualifies for the upcoming World Cup, we shouldn’t include players we previously courted who stylishly turned us down. Chikena!

You see the problem with your local coaches :rotf: :rotf: Gift is young, healthy and has been on fire and yet she is dropped for grandma ordega and some other less deserving players. I can understand if she hasn’t been part of the team and was not picked for chemistry sake.

Could it a psychological factor? To help calm the nerves of younger debutants? Off field conduct?
Could it be for the aging players, a final attempt for them to dig deep and give all they have as this would be their last chance?

The journalist asked very good questions and I believe the coach addressed them appropriately. His emphasis on building a balanced squad, blending experience with youth, is a sound approach.

That said, I believe we should give him the freedom to select his team and he must also be ready to stand by his choices if things don't go as planned. Personally, I think Asisat Oshoala is past her prime. Her limited club appearances support this view, especially when compared to Francisca Ordega, who plays more regularly at club level.

If I had my way, I would have preferred to see Gift Monday included in the squad instead of Oshoala. But since we gave Coach Waldrum a free hand to choose his team, we should let the new coach do the same and hold him accountable for the results.

I agree. A few players selected were a head scratcher, but I will support the coach. My comment was directed to Gotti the Waldrum and FC hater.

I’ll hold the coach accountable if the oldies he selected fail to perform at WAFCON. Most recently some of these veterans haven’t helped the team that much: Oshoala has never been fit for us at tournaments, Ordega gave up a PK at the last WC and Oparanozie ballooned her PK at the WC.
