There are indications that Austin Ejide will be the man in goal for the Super Eagles when they confront the Lone Stars of Liberia in the critical African Nations Cup game in Calabar on Saturday.

The not-so-shocking news follows the error-stricken and erratic goalkeeping of Vincent Enyeama, the regular number one goalkeeper and assistant captain of the Super Eagles.

Sources in Calabar told futaa.com in an exclusive interview that while team coach, Stephen Keshi, still has absolute belief in the abilities of Enyeama, he wants to give him a rest in this one, especially as there has been many voices raised against the former Enyimba goal-tender.

- Keshi does not want to make the same mistakes Samson Siasia made, when he let his head pick the team against Guinea. All over the world, coaches pick players based on the current form displayed for the team, and right now, current form says Enyeama is a risk.

- And Keshi cannot afford to take that risk, our source said.

Errors by Vincent Enyeama allowed Rwanda and Liberia snatch draws when the Eagles played against them.
