Definitely Nigeria's best player.

We wouldn't have qualified for the 2nd round with a lesser keeper.

Vincent Enyeama has been absolutely first class in this World Cup. Most like me have now already elevated him to unbeatable status such that we were initially surprised he didn't save Messi's free kick. But studying the replay and the trajectory of the ball before it dipped down under the post, Enyeama would have had to be a bird to save it.

Players get clever everytime, he had to move so far away from the wall so he could see the ball when it is hit, it took him so far away from the other post. Now see how clever the Argentines were, they joined in our wall forcing Eyeama to move to one side, knowing that Messi only needed to steer the ball as a far as possible to the other side. The reaction of Eyeama when he saw the ball in the net tells it all.he knew he had been conned by the 3 Argies who joined up to the inside of the wall, their mission was accomplished...force Eyeama to move to one side so he could see the ball being kicked, yet so far away he stood no chance of getting back on time to cover the other corner should the ball go over the wall...brilliant, i learnt something new yesterday.

...opponents joining the wall has always been a good strategy, but the goalies need to start setting their own marked edge of the wall and ask one of their players to spread his legs so he can look, see the ball when hit. I know it's a tall order when closer to the goal, but can be effective for reacting.

I think we should have watched Messi's free kick well enough to know that a sizeable number of them are played to the top right corner, especially from that spot. Lessons for future sha

One of these days you need to share the stories of your days standing in the walls, using your hands to protect your ... er .... "future prospects" while facing the league's best freekick takers.

PS: Did you ever take penalties or freekicks? I mean "free kick" not "freely kicking" opposing strikers. :)

It does not matter if Eyeama knows this or now, until they can find a boot that would allow a keeper to fly through the air, the distance where he was standing in order to see the ball kicked and the angle where Messi placed it was damn too far for any human to get to ...note two odds a. the distance and b. the speed of the ball. The last time i checked Eyeama aint Spider man

If you cannot take the ball dont stand in the wall. Just harden your body, cover ya blokos and pray it does not wack you in the face. In Nigerian league if you cover ya face and the ball hits your hand on away ground, that na penarity straight, so you bend your face so that ya forehead is pointing forward..na the secret be that. When it is raining, now that is another case entirely....it is a case of either ya blokos or ya face...but many of us love our blokos more.

You guys can try to talk all you want but Enyeama got beat by a very good freekick,Messi got it right on this one and i am sure Messi and Enyeama are probably buddies since the last World Cup in S.Africa,Players never forget that 1 stubborn defender or forward and i am sure they will never forget each other. I was mad he beat Enyeama but glad to see that they both got a chuckle out it all.
