Ajayi ke? “Solid”?
Abeg, I don’t rate Ajayi and tbh, never really did.
I really don’t expect him to be invited again, no disrespect to him but he doesn’t command the authority he should as a CD.
Of all our CDs, I rate him just below Omeruo and just above Ozone at the bottom.
olu wrote: Wed Oct 27, 2021 7:50 pm I have a feeling Akpoguma will be starting for us at CD sometime next year. Awazeim and Ajayi are also solid CDs. I would take either of them ahead of Omeruo. Valentine shouldn't be in the squad.

The likes of Aina and Bassey are also comfortable at CB, and could be deployed at CB when we play a back three.

EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: Tue Oct 26, 2021 2:31 am Are we ever going to pay attention to our defenders? It's time to focus on all aspects of the game besides who's hanging, we need to stop other teams from scoring against us or it'll do us like film trick when we score but the other team scores more. We currently have NO defender in a top team in any of the top leagues. NONE! I know this much. Teams that'll play n the WC semis next yr will have defenders in the top leagues. That's a GUARAN- DAMN -TEE.
The worrying thing is that there don’t seem to be any on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Ekong, Balogun and Omeruo all seem to have peaked and I don’t see them getting any better.
Awaziem is the only one that seems to have a higher ceiling.
Akpoguma still remains a mystery and Ozonwafor is like the ozone layer - invisible and leaking.

Weytin we go do now?

We've entered okro soup in defense, all that's needed is to add dried fish, pepper and Maggi, we'll be done.
Missing out on Tomori was a huge loss even though I follow yab the boy. Ajayi and Ozowanfor seen to be all we got coming up in Europe. Ozonwanfor is on loan but he's not even making the team at Charleroi in Belgium. Ajay is still the same , no improvement. If we're going to play 352 we'll need better depth than we have.

If he had the aggression and urgency of Osihmen he'd likely challenge him for the SE top striker spot. I think Awoniyi might be a slightly better finisher than Osihmen but he has no way near the impact. We thank God for his blessings.

Awoniyi, Iheanacho, and Osimhen are the best youth players we've produced in the last decade so far.

Might as well add defensive players to this thread. There"re 2 goal post in every game, we attack 1 and defend 1.

Akpoguma had a very good game vs Hertha today while playing as a RWB in a 343. They won 2-0.

Add Wilfred Ndidi...
NO Naija player has been CONSISTENTLY as good in the past 4 seasons.

You sure they gave the second one as an assist to him? But maybe **** needs to be using him on the left wing if he’s this good crossing with his left.

I think Simon is better playing from the left.

LW has alway been his strongest position but since we've been missing Chukwueze on the right, he was the best fit there as he's equally strong with both feet

Cyril Dressers scored the only goal for Feyenoord vs AZ Alkmaar.

David Okereke scored the winner against Jose Mourinho’s Roma as Tyrone’s Venezia won by 3-2.
