Are we ever going to pay attention to our defenders? It's time to focus on all aspects of the game besides who's hanging, we need to stop other teams from scoring against us or it'll do us like film trick when we score but the other team scores more. We currently have NO defender in a top team in any of the top leagues. NONE! I know this much. Teams that'll play n the WC semis next yr will have defenders in the top leagues. That's a GUARAN- DAMN -TEE.

The worrying thing is that there don’t seem to be any on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Ekong, Balogun and Omeruo all seem to have peaked and I don’t see them getting any better.
Awaziem is the only one that seems to have a higher ceiling.
Akpoguma still remains a mystery and Ozonwafor is like the ozone layer - invisible and leaking.

We've entered okro soup in defense, all that's needed is to add dried fish,pepper and Maggi, we'll be done.
Missing out on Tomori was a huge loss even though I follow yab the boy. Ajayi and Ozowanfor seen to be all we got coming up in Europe. Ozonwanfor is on loan but he's not even making the team at Charleroi in Belgium. Ajay is still the same , no improvement. If we're going to play 352 we'll need better depth than we have.

I have a feeling Akpoguma will be starting for us at CD sometime next year. Awazeim and Ajayi are also solid CDs. I would take either of them ahead of Omeruo. Valentine shouldn't be in the squad.

The likes of Aina and Bassey are also comfortable at CB, and could be deployed at CB when we play a back three.

After sitting out the first 8 games, he played 25 mins last weekend, and surprisingly started his first game today. He scored after 3 mins and was subbed after 65 mins. Hopefully he may finally get some playing time…
