Onyeka might displace a current SE

Post by Oguleftie »

They advanced to next stage of Champions League with him scoring a blasted goal, but more important a work horse. That may be what Rohr is attracted to; the guy was a 90 min horse.

this is a good player who can allow the SE transition to a 4-3-3, with him in the middle, Ndidi on the right and Aribo on the left

Clearly a superior understanding of the role in a 4-3-3 than any of our current MFs, which would allow us shift Ndidi to a box to box role and use his full range of skills to maximum effect.

This can be a game changer for this squad if he integrates well into the team...

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

We like to talk a lot of rubbish on this site:

the referee dashed them a penalty in the last five mins of the game. the goalkeeper saved it and the referee ordered it to be retaken and by another player. they scored making it 2-1 so Olayinka’s team had no choice but to press toward for an equaliser.

This bobo number 38 won the ball in midfield performed a give and go and scored up till that point the Danish team was nothing to write home about. Number 38 did nothing until they were ahead in the last 5 mins. The team is so poor they will come bottom of any Champions league group they are put into.

Hmmm, when I get time I go peep game, b/c I didn't see anything special from the bobo last week, but could just have been an off game.

It is not about a team. It is about a player. And it is about players Rohr already has in his team.
Based on players Rohr already has in his team, he looks at least equal to them.

I shouldn't be surprised yet it still always surprises me when peeps here come out with such ignorant commentary as above.

I mean this is low football IQ of the highest order.

First the PK was based on the current handball rules and was LEGIT.

2nd, the GK had TWO FEET off the line before the kick was taken, which triggered a VAR review and a repeat which Midjtylland duly converted.

Over the two legs, which I watched, the Danish team was the better side wrt tactical organization, and played largely on the break, relying on organization behind the ball and looking to find their moments to break.

They are a small team, wrt to the CL proper and their coming bottom of a CL league cannot detract from their achievement getting to the CL.

On Onyeka, it is his understanding of the role and ability to play under pressure that most stood out for me, esp in the 1st leg. The 2nd leg demonstrated to me the range of his talent, esp in breaking forward.

Folks who do not understand the game, should not bother commenting on it...They bring down this forum with their low IQ...

Like I said before our people like to talk complete and utter rubbish. What has having a high IQ got do with watching football. Some people really need to get over themselves. All in an effort to prevent suppress differing views because they promote and hype undeserving players into our national team. Whenever players such as Olofinjana, Danny Shittu , Sola, Ujeh,Namdi, Babatunde, Efe Sodje, Justice Christopher, Uchebo, Gabriel, Ejike , Ambrose, Juwon featured for the national team wonder how did this crap happen but views from the so called high IQ mob that facilitated and supported it.

I hope the bobo gets to play against Algeria so that the rest of Cybereagles can see how high your IQ is・ promoting a player that did nothing in the first game and in the second game only came alive when they were 2-1 up with 5mins to go and the other team were forced to throw caution to the wind and try and equalize. The other opportunity to see number 38 will be in the champion league group stages I can’t wait.

Well well the Danish team Midtjylland will play Liverpool, Ajax & Atalanta will we see what number 38 will do against quality opposition.

Be careful how you answer.....

if you say he is not good enough it shows you have a low football IQ .

You have to have seen his imagery quality which “justified” his call up!!!! I am still trying figure out the so called quality that made anyone in their right mind call up such a limited player.

He is not all that.
Yellow card was about middle of 1st half, yet the coach allowed him to play the entire game which says how much the coach appreciated him.

You forget that Rohr is a sucker for PLayerws playing in Europe, and Champions league is icing on the cake.
