Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Late goal by CV to win it…..was hoping for a draw

IN OUR CASE, THERE IS NO TIME. NO SERIOUS COACH WILL TAKE THIS JOB

Pasamu on Monday Feb 22nd 2010 post ANC- I will repeat again, the problem with our team was never ability or personnel or even tactics . It was confidence pure and simple confidence. Amodus team had been spat upon, anything they did was dismissed as insignificant To see the team going from playing brilliant football against Egypt in the first half of their ANC group game to the cautious fear laden play against Zambia was sad.

Yep. Great strike from outside the box presents us the opportunity to hopefully go 5 pts clear today.

That's how I initially felt but mathematically, a draw would've left us in the same position (2pts clear though from Liberia).

Beat CAR twice and we are pretty much through to the next round with two games to spare.

no we have to hope Cape Verde do not win the next match for that to apply.

hopefully these all play out, so Rohr can "experiment" for our final 2 matches.

Nope. If we beat CAR twice, we'll accumulate 12 points from 4 games played. While Cape Verde will accumulate 7 pts out of 4 games played if they win the double-header against Liberia. That's 5 points gap with two more games (and 6 points) for both teams to play for.

According to owngoalnigeria. Kelechi is back in midfield. i just hope he is not abused for having a bad game. The guy is a striker not a midfileder.

It was a good game too. Cape Verde took it to the Liberians even after they got down a goal in the game.

Wayyy too many defenders called, and midfield is very thin (only Bonke is an option off the bench). Rohr needs to do better at calling midfield options. Besides that, pretty decent lineup.

It looks like at 4-4-2 formation and like Kelechi will drop deep to support the midfield. I agree with you I think Kelechi is best when he spends most of his time in the box. I would have preferred a 3-5-2 or 4-3-1-2 with Ejuke or Kalu in the AM role.
