Manu Garba did that during his U-17 qualifiers days, by playing Awoniyi together with Isaac Success in the attack and both combinations was ruthless in attack. Gernot Rohr doesn't have to limit his tactics (be to conservative) he has to play to the strength of his players which has a blistering attack. According to coach Garba in 2013 "The Eaglet attack is blistering" and he has to maximize it by playing an attacking brand of football. Even Clemens Westerhof use to Play Yekini, together with Amokachi, Amunike, Finidi and sometimes Siasia and it did work because that was the strength of his team,
This is not U17 football. It makes no sense to start 2 target men together unless one is good at playing from the flanks. England would never play Tammy and Kane together. No need to reinvent the wheel.
It’s not necessarily a bad suggestion; it’s just that Rohr has struggled with finding the right balance esp in midfield

4-4-2 has not worked for us….so far
We struggle to hold the ball and create chances, maybe if we had a JJ it might work but we don't have a mf that can consistently find them.
Jay Jay was not a first team player in Westerhof 1994 super eagles team (though he started some matches). Clemens Westerhof knowing the strength of his players built his team maximizing this strength. in 1994 world cup group games against Bulgaria, Argentina and Greece, Westerhof played 5 attacking players together at the same time. Siasia played the role of the attacking midfielder, with Finidi and Amunike operating from the wings, while Amokachi and Yekini operated as the supporting and main striker respectively. That team still remains our best team till date, and they never had any major problem in that world cup wit regards to the backline (defence) despite playing 5 attackers at the same time, as opponent where scared/more conscious of curtailing the blistering pace of the eagles attack rather than attacking the eagles. This is because westerhof played simply to strongest strength of his team. Now look at Manchester city under Guardiola that plays mostly with 6 Attacking midfielders and makes less/no use of a defensive midfielder or striker, they are still doing very well loads of goals and having less defence problem. This is because Guardiola has built a team maximizing the strength of his players.

But under Rohr, what you have is a system where Moses simon will be deployed as winger simply because of his ability to defend, and not his attacking disposition. Central defenders are used as Wingback under Rohr just to ensure a water tight defence and not because of their ability to move the ball successfully to attack. Despite all this we still loose matches and struggle against lowly rated teams in Africa whom the North African countries would easily demolish.

Rohr needs to be innovative and build his team on the strength of his players, he doesn't need an OKocha to build that. Westerhof built an attacking team that was formidable without Okocha.
Ndidi is not Oliseh. Oliseh was not only a ball winner , he was great passer and initiator of the attack. If Mikel was the DM in the current team then we could play with 5 attacking players. We have a blue collar bust your tail till the final whistle midfield.

Agreed Ndidi is not Oliseh. But Ndidi has quality relatively. My problem with Gernot Rohr is he has players with more qualities in attack than defence but concentrate on playing defensive minded players against minnows and and still struggles. Ask your self what attacking option does Jamilu Collins gives us as a left-back compared to Ola Aina ? at least Ola Aina with relatively fewer game as a left-back has provided great assists from the left-back position compared to Jamilu collins. Even Moses Simon that is Rohr's favourite as a winger, I can't remember the last time he made an assists or scored for the super eagles. Rohr's conservative football is a limitation to the super eagles.
