Our lack of organization has nothing to do with subpar performance of the Egyptians on the field of play. Africans have to learn to respect on-field refereeing decisions and stop behaving as if they have a divine right to win every game. Do Egyptian officials treat Nigerian officials and players any better when we play away games in Egypt

I hear you. First of all, a lack of organisation in the logistic chain of travelling from Nigeria to Tunisia through Morocco prevented Enyimba from getting to Tunisia in time for their match. The match was subsequently postponed by CAF, which would suggest that it was not Enyimba's fault as otherwise Enyimba would have been walked over. I did not restrict my comments to Nigeria alone hence my statement "too much drama in African football...".
On the Rivers United match, I noted that it was not shown on TV so I can not comment on the referee's performance but suffice it to say that this is not the first complaint a team is making about refereeing in Africa in recent times. CAF and FIFA are investigating South Africa's protest against Ghana in a recent WC qualifier. And yes, a match result involving Ghana has been overturned because the referee was found to have been compromised. The Egyptians also complained about a breach of covid protocols and the general arrangements made for them in Nigeria. Whether they are true or not I do not know but all these allegations add to the drama that is African football.
