For those following, if we top our group, who do we play next?

How correct is this? Another source has it that Nigeria would be facing the 3rd place team from B/E/F and that's Malawi/Seirra Leone/Tunisia at the moment.

Malawi will surely give our SE a workout. They remind me of British football of yore.
Ninety minutes of continuous hustle, shooting from every angle, and opportunism.
Have your coffee when you engage these guys.

What determines the actual opposition we get out or the 3? ( If all 3 finish amongst the best 3rd to qualify from their groups)
Malawi, Tunisia, Sierra Leone

i guess it would be a draw of lots

Awaziem involved as Super Eagles train under the floodlights ahead of Guinea Bissau

The Super Eagles are currently holding their penultimate workout under the floodlights ahead of their final group game of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations against Guinea-Bissau, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

After much speculation and all the conspiracy theories, the novelty in the training session was Chidozie Awaziem, putting him in contention to be included in the matchday 23 against Guinea-Bissau.

Prior to this evening, the Alanyaspor defender was last spotted in public on the eve of Nigeria's opener against Egypt, fueling rumours that he tested positive for Covid-19 - something dismissed by coach Augustine Eguavoen and the Super Eagles media officer Babafemi Raji.

Raji claimed that Awaziem was a bit under the weather but Eguavoen was more specific in his pre-match press conference before the meeting against Sudan, saying that the central defender was nursing an ankle complaint.

The Super Eagles players and coaching staff arrived at the VSTS-Annex of Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua at 2004 hours but training did not start until eight minutes later.

The initial workout was based on jogging, stretching exercises and working with ball.

In another piece of good news, Torino fullback Ola Aina, who was with the physiotherapist in the recovery session on Sunday morning, is back training with his Super Eagles teammates.

I like the posting of the table for clarity but i do not believe the teams that Nigeria is likely to meet are limited to those listed. It is a much wider list. Practically all reams from Group E remain in play! That is just one example.

Re Awaziem I don’t believe that he had an ankle injury. Ankle injury doesn’t Barr anyone from being in the public for as long as he was out of sight. They can do better than that. Either way I’m glad he is back to training. Sounds more like COVID. No need for them to lie lie the way they did.
Are you saying that things you do not know, do not exist, just because you do not know that they exist?

You might be right you know, but I doubt it would be that easy to hide a positive COVID test since (I presume) the tests are carried out by AFCON officials and not in-house.
Being found out with such a cover-up could be catastrophic and not worth the risk.

He would have been isolated if he had Covid, he was only absent from training but participated in other team activities from the videos watched.
I am happy
