Tbite wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:51 pm Sadiq MAY have some potential, but it is something of a moot point.

With Terem Moffi, Onuachu, Osimhen, Dennis etc. to add to the competition, I think Sadiq may have played himself outside of contention.

What attribute does Sadiq have exactly that sets him apart from the competition?
There really is no competition between Osimhen and his peers. That said Umar is playing himself out of contention. Taiwo has played himself in.
Nacho is our best finisher imho. But can be lazy. Osimhen beats him in work rate and positioning.

What on earth is the criticism on Nwakali? lol They came in to see the game that we were winning comfortably out. What risks did you want him to take?
We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14

I think Spain’s by far the best league.

Comfortable and good performance. Wouldn't say we've hit our peak yet. The penalty to Sudan was a soft one.

I actually think we should have put a little bit more into the match.

Why? While we may have scored 4 goals, our attack is actually not at the level it needs to be. This could have been an opportunity to iron out the wrinkles. But I guess we can do that in the third game. Hopefully.

Some things I noticed, that may not be obvious against poor opposition

1) Our passes are too predictable. Accurate yes, but at the highest level, accuracy is not enough. In other words, we let the defence settle into position, whereas we should already know the space to exploit.
2) The chemistry in the box needs a lot of work, i.e. interplay.
3) crosses...well that will probably not be rectified anytime soon.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

The good part is that we are creating LOADS of chances, if only we had a clinical striker...

Misplaced passes.
Which pass was that? He literally had at least 90% pass accuracy, maybe you mistaking him for someone else..

Even Ndidi was frustrated with him at one point….if u keep going back u put ur team under pressure… but anyways we won that’s all that matters…

Simon played well. It seems Rohr had shackled him, same with Ola Aina.

I now see why Rohr did not want to play Aina. Those his forward attacks must have been giving that conservative man heart attacks.

or if you have a sling TV app on your Samsung TV, go there and look for Bein Sports Extra and watch the match. You don't have to pay for the sling TV service, just get the app and watch via Being Sports Extra
Same thing if you have Vizio. It was also on free to air
