The red card was legit if that's what you're talking about. I didn't see it at first as I was focused on Iwobi's hand to the face of the Tunisian. When I realized it was the foot, the red card made sense. In fact, the ref wanted to let Iwobi off with a yellow but the VAR guys pulled him up.

He was unnecessarily harsh on Nigerians during the match.

Red card was correct.

The VAR and 4 th official concurred.

Yep, red card wasn't by the ref, he had no choice once VAR brought it up...

He's a bad ref, but his poor decisions affected both teams. There was an incident where Ekong headed a ball out of danger but banged heads with a Tunisian player in the process. Ekong was fine while the Tunisian stayed down. The ref let play continue when he's supposed automatically stop play with any head injury. Hey, it benefitted us so I wasn't complaining since we were chasing the game at that point.

But that's idhiot refereeing.

Then there was the time when he interfered with play but kept the play going. That's why Ndidi was so upset with him.

No surprise though. He was the same ref that awarded Ghana a fake penalty against South Africa.

Most of the 50-50 challenges seemed to be whistled Tunisia's way. Also there was a handball in the Tunisian box in the 1st half that VAR didn't even review.

I remember that hand ball. It did seem to go against us quite a bit, but that may be our perception because we are watching from a Nigerian vantage point. What I do know for sure is that he's a bad ref.
