IT WAS A GOOD THING WE LOST

Post by ugly boy »

1. We are now more likely to qualify for the world cup as we won't underestimate Ghana
2. All this talk about not needing Dennis, Osimhen and Ighalo can now stop
3. Equavon did a good job. Rohr won't have been better. His hands were tied once the red card was issued. Rhor doesn't even make his first substitution till 70th minute :tic:
4. Okoye is a young man at 22 the boy has been impressive and we should not throw him away. It was valuable experience and while Izoho may displace him it shouldn't be because he made one mistake
5. Can we now stop this nonsense about players who grow up playing in africa being naive. All the mistakes that have led to our elimination in recent times (Since Garba Lawal) have been made by players who grew up in europe. Ekong vs Croatia, Aina versus Sudan, Iwobi vs Tunisia. Nothing against these mistakes they will all learn and grow from it. Rather make these mistakes now than at the world cup however I don't want to hear the word naive again describing an african born/raised player who makes a mistake.
6. We need to keep Equavon for the qualifiers at the very minimum

Umm who is this "we" pushing that narrative?
We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14

I think Spain’s by far the best league.
Scholes. UK Guardian 9/6/16
