I'll forgive Eguavoen on one thing, he didn't pick this team and couldn't even meet the caf deadline of adding the players he wanted, from the context of hindsight Rohr knew this team better and should have been allowed to see this one out.

If Eguavoen is to continue, then at least he will have all the free hand and time to select his own players and camp with them ahead of the WC playoffs, for now he can get away with the AFCON "disaster" on the premise of not having enough time to compile his team list.

Select which players ?

At least 80% of that team must be retained.

A few new additions sure, but that is the core
No wholesale changes.

The first set of players you listed are the players I expect Eguavoen or the new coach to pick for the world cup, of course the core of the team stays but that core is roughly around 70%

The core and spine of the team right now orbits around Ndidi, Osimhen, Aribo, Etebo, Sanusi, Aina, Ebuehi and maybe Simon... the rest are for the most part DISPOSABLE.
