Good coach.

He was bold enough to change to a back 5 at half time, and it worked. And the longer the game went on, the more confident your players became.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

The initial plan was for him to help with these two games then return to Dortmund as Chris Hughton take over on full time basis. But with this results I think they will force him to continue as head coach. At least for now.

I was wary of making an assistant coach of Dortmund as interim coach for the play-offs. Dude got the German mentality and did what he needed to be done

But the GFA deserves kudos. They really put together an incredible technical team
-Otto Addo: assistant coach Dortmund
George Boateng: U 23 coach at Aston Villa
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani: Assistant coach in Denmark
Chris Hughton: Premier league caliber coach as Technical Advisor

They have another German in the GFA as technical director

A lot of coaches for this game.

Banter aside Otto Addo is pure class and made the Ghanaian team likeable, aside from the usual toxicity from Twitter clowns from both sides, a large portion of Nigerians are actually graceful in defeat or they just don't care about Nigerian football any more with all the insecurity problems affecting the nation.

Wasn’t this what we were asking about when the argument was that Nigerian coaches were strolling about waiting for others to better them instead of going out to better themselves.

Three men were regularly touted as ‘quality’ local coaches to take over from Rohr: Eguavon, Amuneke and Finidi.
We have used two of them already.

World Cup football and African football are different. Ghana won’t get away with kicking players at the World Cup. They injured Chukwueze which in Europe would have earned a red card. They injured Bonke and Sanusi.

But this should serve as a lesson to Nigeria that in Africa the team has to have a blend of rugged local players that can kick just like the Ghanaians. You also need players that are climatized to the heat and the violence.

Acclimatisation isn’t about where you were born or come from but about where you live. It’s about human physiology.
So in that case we might as well field an all home-based squad because Ndidi, Nacho, Chukwueze, Sanusi, Etebo, Osimhen, Simon, Sadiq etc etc are going to have the same acclimatisation problems on the day as Aina, Ekong, Balogun, Aribo and Okoye.
They all live abroad.
No different from you or I coming home to the suffocating heat and humidity and not being able to deal with it.

A good example is altitude.
If you were born and have lived all your life at altitude snd then move away to lower plains for a couple of years or even less, when you return your body will still have to adapt like everyone else’s.
Field the local players if that is the main problem, but we all know it isn’t.

As for violence, every professional footballer should be prepared and be able to deal with aggression and even violence.
Forget this ‘ajebota’ label that really has no basis.

If that were it, like you say, African teams would be going to the World Cup and kicking their way to victory a la Cameroon 1990.
