Made his debut today in a friendly win

Onyemachi is an interesting prospect. He can play both CB and LB. Does anyone know how he compares to the likes of Bassey, Ekong, Ajayi, Akpoguma, Awazeim, Omeruo, and Ndah? Can he displace any of them or is he more of a squad player?

We need to take a closer look at Moritz Jenz, the German-Nigerian centre-back on loan at Schalke from Glasgow Celtic. He was fantastic against French international, Marcus Thuram, today in a goalless draw against Borussia MG.

What’s the Nigerian connection?
Also, Celtic let him go. He was on loan from Lorient in France who have now loaned him out to Schalke.
According to Wiki, he wasn’t getting playing time at Celtic.

His situation at Celtic was strange! He started and finished all their UCL matches but was hardly used in the league.
Schalke were leaking goals like a basket until he joined them and they have had clean sheets in both matches he has played for them.
His Mother is Nigerian.

Do you see him as a challenger to Zaidu or as a likely CB?

Osayi should be Zaidu's challenger

From watching him he's better suited at CB by far, at LB he's hard to beat but just doesn't come close to the likes of Zaidu or even Bassey as the full package in posession and the final third.

Bruno Onyemaechi’s set piece ability is an added bonus. Not as if the SE is loaded with dead ball ⚽️ experts.
