Jesus didn't die so we could have religion. He died so we could have a deep, intimate, personal relationship with God.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

The league in Tanzania has attracted serious sponsorship money and their football is on the rise, league-wise. Registration of foreign players is also on the increase as Tanzanian teams are allowed to sign up to 10 foreign players.

Simba FC secured a 5-year sponsorship contract worth about $11m with Mbet. Their rival Yanga FC (Young Africans) just signed a new Sponsorship contract with Sportpesa, worth about $5m for three (3) years.

Azam Media Limited, last year, signed a TSh225.6 Billion (about $96m) television rights deal with the Mainland Tanzania Premier League for 10 years. The television revenue is distributed between the clubs somehow like how EPL shares their revenue from broadcasting rights.

A local bank, The (NBC) Limited Tanzania sponsored the 2021-2022 league season to the tune of TSh2.5 billion (about $1m).

I believe that the body running the league in Nigeria does have one or two things to learn from TFF Tanzania.

...yes, Tanzania league must be better than Nigeria's, and good and timely pay too.
Let the shame continue to sink in.

A move like this is just like anyone else changing jobs for better pay. Would you frown at someone leaving a job in Lagos for one in Dar es Salaam if the new job pays better and salary is consistent and assured? I bet the answer would be NO.

We have to understand that these guys are people and will make decisions just like you will and football is a short career. The idea of waiting for big leagues makes little sense, except where an offer is forthcoming and it involves better pay. These moves are not for fans but for livelihood and family comfort.

Sunset,

Watching this video makes one feel very SAD about our football in Nigeria. Imagine such a huge crowd for an international friendly between a team in Tanzania and another in Ethiopia? Yet, Nigeria with huge population of football lovers cannot fill a stadium for a game involving top local teams. I put that down to lazy attitude towards marketing. Really sad!!!!!
