Jesus didn't die so we could have religion. He died so we could have a deep, intimate, personal relationship with God.

This is simply blowing smoke by the so-called Club Owners who constitute one of the biggest problems of Nigerian football today. Make no mistake about this. I believe these guys and their unionized attitudes have ensured that Nigerian football remains in the dark state that it is today.

First, these guys have for decades now ensured that the league persistently starts late. They demand and pressure that the start of the league season is postponed repeatedly every year under flimsy excuses including (1) we have not registered players (Who cares? Did you not know ahead of time when the season starts?), (2) here has to be this meeting or that before the season starts? (3) Oh, the national team is scheduled to play? (4) Ooo, the government scheduled a political rally. All rubbish excuses)

Then, they meet to demand that this or that happens or else they will disrupt the league. Simply a show of disruptive power that brings the entire league to disrepute.

Yet, these guys have no real ownership of these clubs
. These are simply government hangers-on that make this league unattractive to real private ownership. How can a league plan with such a situation of constant disruptions, lack of stability and consistency. We are at it again with no idea when the league will start this year. It will be the same story next year. Make no mistake about it. The chief culprit are these so-called Club owners.

Frankly, it is a cesspool of rubbish.

We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

These state governors are not owners, these governors can’t even improve the living standards of their constituents but yet they inherit football clubs all of which play in athletics stadiums and have no academies.
They are going to met with yet another novice to discuss what may I ask.
