We do for the style we insist on playing. Our last 2 coaches insist on playing 4-4-2 wing play with 2 average center midfielders

A good midfield will make you competitive even if your players play in Vietnam, we saw this with Saudi Arabia...Nigeria will overload its team with strikers and defenders, and then invite 5 midfielders who play almost alike( no dynamism), Ghana always play on the strength of their midfield.

Ghana plays well vs most top teams because they HAVE A MIDFIELD!!!! You dont need Messi and CR7 playing side by side. Just get dynamic midfielders who can protect the back line, maintain the tempo and create chances and you are good to go. We have guys like this but because they are not playing in so called "top 5 leagues" we would rather callup the likes of Bonke, Aribo who is a foward cosplaying as a midfielder and a 1 legged Ndidi.

Ejaria and Nwakali both need to be seriously looked at despite being Div 2 players.

Both are highly technical, can dribble and pass, and have good touch. The kind of midfielders we need.

And before I hear some "not good enough" nonsense.

Hoillet who plays at the same club as Ejaria (and isn't as highly regarded) starts for Canada and does well.

US played 433 I don't know what u talking about.

Anyways it matters not what position you play when your guys are static and don't understand how to move in space relative to where the ball is on the pitch.

Too many guys lazy and standing around will fail in any formation.
