Tosin played against Arsenal today. Almost scored. Made one or two mistakes. Overall he was okay. Good addition to the Eagles. I don’t think we have CD crisis. Bassey, Awaziem, Tosin, Ozoronwafor, Omeruo and etc. Also have EKong. Also have prospects like Federicks. Our crisis is in the midfield.

Why does Nigeria always have a shortage of quality players in one position and a surplus in another? Right now the team is stacked in the CF position (Osimhen, Moffi, Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Onuachu, Dessers, Maja, Sadiq, Dennis), and also has good depth at LB (Bassey, Sanusi, Onyemaechi, Collins).
Yet the CD and CM midfield are problem areas and lack serious depth. They contain a lot of Division 2 players or players sitting on the bench for a top division team. Apart from Iwobi, is there a single quality Nigerian CM that is an automatic first 11 choice for his team?
