Semi is settling into African football. And he is very composed on the ball... like he has grown to his game.
I like how the coaching staff is pairing the CD partnership and not mixing and matching. He paired well with Omeruo today.
Need to see more of him as he matures into a confident player.
Good game from him today.

He has been very good for most of games i have seen him play. Mind you he just came back after being out due to surgery. However Damunk has spammed these forums condemning him. Dude was good vs SAo Tome, GB in AFCON and today he was classCellular wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 7:24 pmMy fren goan sidon (and no, not at a buffet table).Bigpokey24 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 7:10 pm one of the best players out there, however the likes of damunk has ridiculed him big time all of these forums . S.Ajayi was average today against a very poor GB team. Yet to be convinced on him.

I am not sure what Damunk said about Ajayi.
I am more comfortable when Ajayi is playing in the midfield (defensive)
He is suspect defensively. His positioning sense is probably optimal, but I worry about his reaction time.

ANC,
I prefer him defensively for Nigeria. However, I preface that by noting that only once has he played in the midfield for NIgeria and that was under Rohr.
I realize that most people look at where he plays his club football and use that to question the guys ability to play for Nigeria. BTW, this does not include you ANC, but the larger CE members. However, we must simply focus on what a player does wearing GWG and not what they do playing club football. Presently, Semi Ajayi has done very well for Nigeria and UNTIL a better player comes around there is very little reason to question his contribution. Not only does he defend capably but he is the BEST among our center backs in bringing the ball forward.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics
