Just watched the game and what if..

Post by Adisboy »

When Ola Aina is back and we intend to play a 442, this would be my lineup;

Uzoho
Aina Ajayi Bruno Sanusi
Osai Samuel, Onyeka, Iwobi, Moses
Moffi Osimhen

I believe Osai Samuel will do very well as right winger (as that was his original position growing up) and will combine well with Aina. What do you guys think?

Very impressed him so far. He's a very good modern RB. Reads the game well, good passers and he makes timely runs to support the attack. If not for Chukwueze's selfishness he would have gotten 2 assists. When Aina returns I think should be played in his natural position as a right winger, Chukwueze
moves to the LW. This solidifies our MF and gives us more balance.

Chuks - DM- CM - Osayi -Samuel.

Sanusi is useless.

Aina should play leftback.

Samuel is great defensively

I don't care, but Aina and Osai can both start . Aina is a better left back compared to Sanusi , who has no idea on how to pass or defend

You only pay attention to the attacking part of the game, Sanusi is a starter at Porto for a reason.Aina rarely scores or assists, same for Sanusi. So why would you bench him for Aina when the team will be weaker defensively?

Sanusi is useless defensively. Aina is our best left back BY FAR.

If not Aina, I’ll take Bassey over Sanusi…

Bassey will at least give us nice crosses.

Honestly Sanusi has been pretty poor.

Aina is the best option though..

I thought Sanusi was decent today. I would still start Sanusi or Bassey on the left for now, while Aina is a solid option at LB as well.

Would like to see Chuwkueze switch wings to the left occasionally during games. Onyekuru and Ejuke (when he returns from injury) are also good options on the wings.

I hope at some point we get Eze and Olise. They would be great AM options, but both can also play on the wings.

Aina is better on the left, not sure they keep playing him on the right

I haven’t seen enough of Osayi-Samuel to say this definitively but he appears to be our best attacking right back❗️

Cheers.

Most if not all his career he has been a RB.
In fact from as far back as when he was the Chelsea U21 captain.

I noticed, but that remains a head scratcher.
He is average on the RT but deadly on the Lt.

Are you sure that you watch Aina closely? While Sanusi has been poor, Aina is not a top notch defender at all!! First off, he is quite poor in the air. Second, he tends to bomb forward without caution. If you watched the Ecuador game, this was a source of frequent complaint by Peseiro. Bros, do not only watch when Nigeria has the ball. Also watch when we do not have the ball.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

Sanusi is also very poor defensively. I notice that, but his attack is nowhere near as good as Aina.
