If it was in any African country it would have been 3rd world this..., 3rd world that..., corruption must have taken place for it to have been awarded etc etc

In fairness, Argentina stepped in at the last minute to bail out FIFA…
Indonesia was the tournament host but apparently had local issues with Israel’s participation.
