Guy is rushing his pass and hitting those pass too long.

Midfield ain’t poor bro… we overloaded it. That’s the beauty of this formation…

We are playing 3-5-2 then transitioning to 3-3-4

What is that Zaidu doing on the team? He was the worst player in this half.

Honestly our major issue is transitioning from defence to attack. We just don't have that Okocha dude. If we can solve that we will be good to go

Sure he is an outlet, by virtue of being a body. But he is not doing much with the opportunity given to him.

You are probably insinuating that Zaidu is cresting the space, but that is not the case. That is merely his role. Any other player in that role would find the same space.

Other players are stretching the defence and he is playing into the space. I don't think the opportunity dries up if he is subbed off.

You just need someone that is not a snail. Anybody with pace can at least equal his contribution. Defensively he has been lazy.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

Impressed with the balance and the intensity and discipline without the ball.

Hope they improve on it in 2HF.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. Not that he is playing that bad though…Zaidu ain’t making it easy for him either

Overall…. Our midfield is holding firm

Go SUPER EAGLES….
Simon and Doku of Man city are very similar in many ways but disimilar in one critical area

1. They're of the same size

2. Play the same position

3. Somewhat look alike.

But...what can deliver intelligent balls. The other will just cross and hope. This is where their value in terms of $$$ differ.

Bushyboy. In all my years of watching Nigerian football, i have never seen any Nigerian striker with this particular approach.

You say that all a striker is judged by is goals. But osimhen defies that logic. His presence in matches can be so great that he creates goals just by stretching defenses.

Anything you thought you knew about strikers and football, throw it out the window. Osimhen has reinvented things.

People keep trying to tell us he plays well.

But the guy is really useless. Counted 3 times he just gave the ball to the opposition.

It's like his head is never in the game.

In attack he’s been giving the ball away a lot and not running back with the same energy as the other players. He’s been making poor clearing decisions as well, in cases where he could settle it down for the keeper he clears straight into the air allowing pressure to keep mounting, earlier on the side he could have headed a ball out to touch to stop their attack but headed in back into play near our goal and Bassey had to rescue the situation. I’m sure you saw something different but those plays don’t help us IMO…

Really? Please tell me what he did that helped beside making dumb passes and plays. Yes, he made runs down the left, but succeeded in effing them up in the end.

Osimhen’s passing has improved tenfold this year. He’s been our best passer this AFCON. If you watch Napoli you will know what I’m talking about.

Point. That's exactly my thought. Osimhen is really a dangerous kid. I would not want to be defending against his kind.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. Defensively not one successful cross or through ball has come from his side. And upfront he's the main outlet for our wide play
