Peseiro HAS GOT TO STAY

Post by Tobi17 »

All things considered maybe this man knew better than we (the arm chair critics) all along, his calm demeanor throughout the tournament surely didn't betray as a feeling of nerve from him... maybe he just needed the time to find the perfect tactics to find make his team gel and he finally found it.

Hindsight isn't always 20/20, but there's surely a method to someone's madness, Peseiro formerly known as Pisseiro might just be the perfect manager for Nigeria...pragmatic yet effective football. I say he stays and builds on this team post AFCON, if he can improve that midfield, we might be on to something guys.

He just needs to be nudged in the right direction regarding a few things.

1. More midfield - we need to play 3 midfielders at all times. 433 or 352

2. Don't be afraid to look at new players. He gets too comfortable with the devil he knows.

I dont care who coaches the team as long as i see progress. Not saying the Cameroonians are world beaters or anything but the defense was very organized and nearly impenetrable. Kudos for today's game strategy/tactics as it worked in our favor.

His contract will be reviewed AFTER the tournament.

Why? Why? Why? Why????
So we suddenly have retrograde amnesia? Portugal? Guinea Bissau? Mozambique? Guinea?

His contract says Semi-Final. If he doesn’t meet his target, I say fire the man!

Nigerians wanted to fire him and make the same damn mistake that cost us the last afcon and a WC place.

Thank goodness these people are not in charge. Some of them are still not convinced.

Per the interview with that NFF board member after the Zim game, they'd already decided to fire him, but didn't have the money to do so. So the brokeness of the NFF rescued us. Also according to the interview Paso gave a Portuguese news outlet few days ago, NFF have already tried to be smart by offering him a renewal before his stock rises too high. His reply was "not so fast a**holes". I don't think we can retain him after Afcon. If we do, then he'll be a lot more pricey, and we'll be wondering how we once got him to accept a pay cut.

The big question now is: Does he want to stay? His stock has risen now, he may most likely demand for wage increase which we can't afford.
That's why people like you who always attacking coaches should do so with caution.

:D Paseiro for president!

Seriously, CIV is looking for a coach. And last I heard, they pay on time.

Haven’t been following Nigeria closely under him
But his performance at the tournament thus far has been very good
Consistently made the right calls and adjustments
