SE v Benin WCQ moved to CIV

Post by EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA »

Caf has moved the game from Cotonou to CIV due to inadequate facilities. This could be a major break for us been that it’s a neutral venue where we’ll likely have more of a home advantage. If we beat SA tots could well be within reach. I think it favors us.

Omo, we need every break we can get.Playing Benin in an empty stadium in CIV is better for us than a packed stadium in Cotonou. If they were smart they would’ve chosen a venue in Cameroun or Togo where we’re likely to get fewer fans.

The stadium will not be empty. There are numerous Nigerians, especially Igbos, who live in the Ivory Coast. Note how games involving Nigeria during AFCON were filled. Wish the game was scheduled for Yamoussoukro. There is a huge Igbo population there.

Nevertheless, it is advantage Nigeria but even in Cotonou, Nigeria were not really underdogs.

I still think the big game is in South Africa. Nigeria needs a point from that game.

Benin played perhaps the 2 best teams in Africa at the moment last window and did very well.

CIV 2 Benin 2
Senegal 1 Benin 0

We should beware. Especially with Rohr at the helm trying to prove a point.

You mean with Rohr who knows how to get results in qualifying games?

How can you have advantage when you don’t even have a damn coach -2 months to the game. It will
be a miracle if we get 3 points out of the 6 that will be available in June over the two matches vs Benin and SA. In June it will be confirmed that Nigeria is officially out of the 2026 WC. The NFF are joke and do not deserve to qualify for the worldcup. Incompetence and malpractice should not be rewarded as there will no longer be incentive for proper competent administration.
Are you saying that things you do not know, do not exist, just because you do not know that they exist?

...reason why I say no courage on the part of the admins of football in Nigeria.
Poor and totally inept, nothing progressive thinking about them.
One day someone will sum up courage to call for foreign NFA chief, and he must bring his own people.

Not hiring a manager immediately is only a big deal if the new manager wants to install an entirely new system with entirely new labor. You can hire a new manager who focuses on the psychological aspect and that is critical.

Enough with the self-righteousness. NFF may not be deserving but the young men who leave their hearts and souls on the pitch are. That’s who I’m rooting for and that’s who you should be rooting for as well🤔❗️

It’s not just about the players. There’re 100s of thousands of players who deserve to go to the World Cup to represent their country. Fact is that the best managed football associations who have the talent make it to the World Cup. You can’t run a shabby program and expect to make it on players only.

Typical! He has no answers then chooses to move the goalpost. I assume you understand the difference between managing a football association and managing a team. Do u, coach? Perhaps you can educate us by telling us how you managed the football team you took to the champions league and came back winning a dice game.

Goalgetter called out the Nff for mismanagement. In response you claimed that the players needed to be supported not the nff. He clearly distinguished between the team and the association, the team is managed by the association. The point is that if you have a shambolic association it’s extremely difficult to have a good team. You Sir chose to make it about the players and disregard the association out of convenience. We don’t have a player problem in Nigeria. We have a management problem with the nff not the coach or players. In essence, both the coach and player are in the execution phase of a greater plan. Can you tell us what the plan of the nff is for NIGERIAN football? It can’t be to win the next game because every association wants that. Pls explain.

WILL BENIN PLAY ALL "HOME MATCHES" IN CIV?

In that case there's no advantage to the SE groupwise and it's a wash. Who knows, they might even develop local sympathizers.
