Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has donated his future camp allowances and match bonuses to Akwa Ibom kids, in a bid to help them achieve their football dreams, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The kind gesture by the 30-year-old PAOK Thessaloniki centre-back, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, was aired on Brila FM on Monday.

Born in The Netherlands to a Dutch mother and a Nigerian father, Troost-Ekong maximises every opportunity to fraternise with his Ibibio folks, and it was only a matter of time before he gave back to the society that birthed and nurtured his father.

Every Akwa Ibom indigene sees Troost-Ekong as a worthy ambassador, earning bragging rights from his consistent outstanding performances for the Eagles.

I WOULD WANT HIM...

...if someday he wants to be in the mix for national coach at any level. His profile is perfect.

Ekong should become the substantive captain of the SE.
The days of Musa lingering around like a bad smell should be over

Now that's how you know a foreign born player that bleeds green and white.
Not the likes of Eze and Tosin that prefer to be used and dumped by England.
I am just and Ordinary guy being used by an extraordinary God.
