Injury to defensive midfielder Sabiu Ibrahim has forced coach Aliyu Zubairu to make one change in the Flying Eagles Starting XI for tonight’s WAFU B U20 semifinal against Niger.

In Sabiu Ibrahim’s place, Suleyman Alabi will start in defensive midfield.

He has been picked ahead of Raphael Oyebanjo and it is the first start for the El Kanemi Warriors midfielder.

Otherwise, it is the same start list for the 2-1 win over Cote d’Ivoire in a final Group B match.

Flying Eagles Starting XI (4-3-3) vs Niger: Ebenezer Harcourt – Kenneth Igboke, Adamu Maigari, Daniel Bameyi (Captain), Haruna Aliyu – Suleyman Alabi, Israel Ayuma, Nasiru Salihu – Bidemi Amole, Arierhi Kparobo, Clinton Jephta

Kickoff at 3PM ET

Age grade compeitions is not about winning games. It is about development. Opportunity for other players to play.
Winners do it the right way.

I don't mind if this our Goal keeper and Clinton Jephta are called up to the senior NT honestly, really impressed by them.

Been following Japheta in the NPFL. Proper baller. Gives me old school Musa vibes. I hope he moves overseas quick so he can develop. The GK Harcourt is another one to watch out for. Plays for Sporting Lagos. If the NFF can prepare this team well we should qualify for the U20 WC.

SIGNED.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

He was part of their U18 side who won the Gothia Cup. Just turned 15 which is interesting to say the least

Yes. One too watch. They should bring in Richard Udoh and Godswill Enyeama and Send Nwosu back to Water FC. I like that our youth teams are producing good GKs for the NT. The U17 Flamingoes GK Uzoma looks good as well.

If only the flamengoes had beaten those bloody Americans yesterday this weekend would have been perfect. Get the 3 points from CAF, Beat USA U17, Qualify for the U20 WC.
