Will ETO'O do the MONKEY dance at Bernabu?

Post by Senator WIRES »

:D I doubt very much, because he will be "shackled with a long Chain"  On BARCA TV this morning, Eto'o promised Barca fans that he will "deliver". but in today El PAIS, it is a different story, Real fans promsied Eto'o with hard knocks, not racial this time

Me thinks Etoo has the beating of the Los Merengues defence evry day of the week. :D :D But then I am a Barca fan, but plzzz Real Madrid fans should cut racism  out of this potentially explosive match.

I see a draw or Barcelona victory in this one.

SW,

What do you mean deliver? As in score goals? I hope he has learnt not to promise as there are no guarantees. Its better to promise that he will give 100%. That is always good enough, whether you win or lose.

I also don't know whether he meant goals or give his all,but eto has said several times that he'll score and has scored most of the times and NOT all.I think the pscycological boost he gets from his promises outweighs the "egg in the face" incase he doesn't score.I'm sure if he had to learn a lesson he should have learnt it long ago.The guy is just like that.
Eto'o makes the difference"

Rijkaard believes that Eto'o will not be affected by the hostile reception he's bound to receive from the home fans: "He's withstood the pressure on other occasions when he's been heckled". In fact, Rijkaard considers that the fact that Eto'o is the focus of so much attention is a compliment: "He's brave, decisive, one of those players who can make a difference at any moment in the game. Eto'o demonstrates his danger in every game. They're the ones who have to worry about Eto'o, not us".

I read the article in Marca this morning about Etoo becoming the New Luis Enrique, the player Madrid fans love to hate the most. Interestingly, they consider him the most dangerous player, more so that Ronnie. This is from a poll, not from me, so no shooting the messenger.

How many games are left to play before the season closes anyway. I am very worried because of the loss of two points by Barca last weekend and if they lose against Madrid i fear they will implode and Madrid will take it.

Barca can afford to lose this match though I think they should settle for a draw atleast.

Even if they lose it will still be 6 points difference, assuming Madrid can win all their matches. And this Madrid is too dodgy. There will be pressure but I dont see Barca imploding 7 matches to the end of the season.

Mlkama do you have a video link of the last Barca game and goals? Did Ronaldinho play? That Barca defence sucks big time and they will need to do something this summer real quick instead they seem interested in buying more strikers   Read somewhere that Walter Pandiani might be going to Barca. They need to overhaul the defence.

Heard they were lucky to score in the last minute and would have lost.

 That defence sucks. Remember the Captain (PUYOLl) was away, it is just like removing MALDINI from AC Milan defence    the heart is gone   .

Tendai,

I dont have a video but I saw the game. Barca's CD problems will be resolved when Edmilson, and Motta return. Marquez can go back to CD and Oleguer will be the substitute there. Navarro was the 4th defender who was brought in to disastrous effect against a very good Betis team with speedy attackers - Oliveira and Joaquin. So no surprise that they caused Barca problems. Barca wants to buy a RB, a right attacker and a goalkeeper last I heard. But you know there is always speculation.

The papers are already burning in Spain before the derby and it is Etoo this Etoo that. Too much expected of him at Bernabeu so I wont be surprised if he failed to deliver. it is always like that.

Mlkama i dont know why but Guily just doesnt cut it for me. He was alright for Monaco but for Barca he hasnt delivered. I would pick larsson over him next season because Larsson is a proven goal scorer. Guily falls over easily and over hits the ball to often. As for van bonkhorst the less said the better.

BarcelonaSamuel Eto'o claims that he has no interest in gaining revenge when Barcelona meet Real Madrid on Sunday and says he will be just as happy if another player scores the winning goal for the Catalans.
The Cameroon international has been pinpointed as the main threat by Madrid, but Eto'o is just keen to do well against his former club to help Barca towards the league title.
Madrid let Eto'o leave the club last summer when they agreed to sell their 50 percent stake in the player to Barca, but he is not out to prove a point this time around.
"I have no desire for revenge," he said.
"I cannot want revenge against Real Madrid. If they had not signed me, then I would not be now playing for Barcelona. I could not stay there and I am now very happy at Barca.
"I want to do well in every game. I always want to win and it is the same against Madrid. It is our duty to think about winning the match.
"I am not obsessed with scoring in this game. If another player scores for us and we win I will be just as happy as if I had scored.
"I am like a child with new football boots and cannot wait for the game to start. I have already played in a Barcelona and Madrid match in Camp Nou and now I want to see what it is like in the Bernabeu."

If those Real racists come out with their taunts, Eto'o better finish Real off with a hat trick. I don't care about the monkey dance business .. oh veeyyy!

unfortunately the weakest link has been belletti...all goals scored from his end...2nd weakest link is guilly...squandered lots of chances that barca will probably regret.
