The Nigerian is leading in the weightlifting.

Although I am kinda scratching my head about how it all works.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

Probably not, on the balance of probablities, but not out of the question. Hoping he can get the silver or bronze. But Group A is loaded. We'll see. I'm really hoping he pulls it off.

Not from what I have seen.

Nigeria does have medal prospects.

Weightlifting .... maybe the lady, Usman but Ekpo has no chance.

Nigeria should win some medals in Athletics and Taekwondo later.

Just back from the weightlifting event, Mr Ekpo is quite short in stature , but I guess it has it's advantages. I think Usman might do better. The Canadian girl got guts was speaking to one of the Canadian wrestling coaches , apparently they have very good coaching scheme despite low support . Funny enough one of their medal winners was of Nigerian decent. He was also complaint about how difficult it was to get tickets.

Be watching the taekwondo +80 with Chuku, we got a very good chance in this completion, probably the best.

Taokwodo Chika Although ranked low is one of the best, they just didn't enter to many world competitions. Also I'm hoping Usman has improved from her last Olympics.

Shhh, don't let the likes of Kongi and tbite here you. How dare you, a London CE, go to the games to support a Nigerian athlete?

Boxers/weight lifters at the Olympics are actually very short I guess a low to the ground stature helps them. They're usually around 5'6-5'7 for the guys and 5'3-5'5 for the girls.

Watchin the U boxer Diaz get beat by Alcarez of Cuba with jab after jab, but somehow the commentators wont let me believe my lying eyes!
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp
