Dem no pay dia bills from what i heard on the news dis morning
We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14
He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14
I think Spain’s by far the best league.

African Olympics pavilion closes with debts outstanding
The hospitality centre for African nations competing in the Olympics has had to close because of unpaid debts, a spokesman has confirmed.
Africa Village, set up in Kensington Gardens, west London, owes suppliers hundreds of thousands of pounds, Laurent Bagnis said.
He said an exact figure was not yet known.
A meeting is to be held to establish whether the venue can open later for its Tunisia Day.
It is the first time at an Olympic Games that the 53 African national Olympic Committees have come together to host one, specially dedicated house.
Located opposite the Royal Albert Hall, it has an exhibition area and restaurant open to the public and a reception area for Games officials, athletes and sponsors.
Since it opened on 28 July it has received 80,000 visitors, said communications director Mr Bagnis.
He said it had closed on Wednesday, adding a meeting was going to be held to "solve the situation".
Asked if reports that £395,000 is owed are correct, he said: "We have a lot of figures. I don't know which is right at the moment."
Tunisia Day was supposed to feature a line-up of live music.

Who's we...who was running this thing? Why must ALL Africans be condemned as failures because some (again, who?) have problems. I don't know about other countries but Kenya has it's own "Kenya House" which is organised quite well and is still up and running, thank you very much!femibyte wrote:Why can't we do anything right ? smh...

Hmm, tell that to non-Africans who must be viewing this spectacle with disdain... After all it was deemed the "Africa Olympics pavilion"kalamashaka wrote:Who's we...who was running this thing? Ok update on the saga...
It was not the Africans Exhibitors at fault, but the French company who organised it...
It is a big shame as the only thing the world will hear is "Africans failed to pay their bills" instead of some French f**kers

The Village's French organisers and British suppliers are understood to have been locked in a stand-off over the non-payment of bills believed to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. The Mar-Key group, which provided tents for the village, said it had been forced to prevent access to them until it received payment.
"Significant promised funds have not been forthcoming and the company has no option but to use legal force as required to ensure the correct outcome for the company and its employees," said chairman David Tabb. "We all hope that this action will help to guarantee funds and that the village can reopen promptly."
Pixcom, a French events management company, is understood to dispute these claims. Chairman Alain Barbier told the French news agency AFP: "We do not understand why this has happened with only days to go before the end of the Games, when we're only talking about minimal sums. We are in the process of dealing with the problems."
Calls by the Guardian to Pixcom's spokesman for Africa Village went unanswered.

There's a 'Nigeria House' 5mins walk from the Olympic Park.
Nigerian plays, films, fashion, food and a bar all up and running until the end of the games.
Was there last weekend.

Unfortunately not, because the perception is that the Africans didn't get their sh*t together and pay the bills.

Why was a French outfit hired to organize this Africa Olympic Centre in the first place, when it could have been better managed by someone else?
I believe the reasons why the owners went public is the French outfit was trying to play games with them and needed to get their money very quickly before the games ends on Sunday. Total shame...

Re: Africa Olympic Centre closed cos French Organiser owes m
The other important question is; who exactly is behind this "Africa Olympic centre"? As far as I know, several of the major African countries are running their own centres/Olympic house. South Africa's got something going on the south bank, Kenya's got its own "Kenya House" and Nigeria is also running one close to the Olympic stadium.Damunk wrote:My brother, that is the million dollar Question.MI5 wrote:Why was a French outfit hired to organize this Africa Olympic Centre in the first place, when it could have been better managed by someone else?
