What sport can the world associate with Nigeria??
As its now getting over-depressing - i just dey think as i was watching thosr Jamaicas and Kenyas making their motherland proud.
USA all round good
Germany - All round good
Japan and china - becoming all round good
Brazil spain Argentina- football, basket ball
Jamaica -sprint
Kenya distance sprint
south africa Austrialia, India- Cricket
Russia and most east europe - Gymnatics
cuba - Ameteur boxing
and so on.
Nigeria just full ground like sack of potatoes, jack of all trades master of none... i beg make we withdraw from world sport Jo.

We were known for 100m, 200m, 4x100m
We were also known for soccer and boxing.

Nigeria is still olympic standard with football.
What messed us up was the way we executed the preparation for the Olympics.
With CAF refusing to realign the schedule and all that. Eguavoen making the trip abroad, getting a nod from European clubs such as Mainz, only to be backstabbed by the European clubs.
Coming back home scrambling a team together and failing to scale through. In the build up the qualifiers, Nigeria was in hot form. They could even have matched the Super Eagles.
So people saying ohhhhh we even regressed in the olympics football and ohhhh we didn't qualify... have the clue what they are talking about.

Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

Is this is not an Olympic forum. What does World Cup have to do with anything?

Your country has 0 medals because your country simply doesn't have the infrastructure nor want to alot the infrastructure to have your population compete. The most populated country in Africa and not a single medal to your name. You didn't even make it into the quarterfinals in soccer and are complaining about European teams not giving your youngins a ride home of which your nation hasn't nor ever does hesitate to age cheat? Furthermore the abysmal basketball performance and the the thorough trashing the USA handed you having close to 70 reps at this Olympics and not a single medal to your 150 million medal name.
You can make many excuses but 150 million produced 0 medals. Go ahead blame oybinbo, that midget Ghanian that punk'd you last week in your driveway hell please blame EVERYONE but yourselves. But 0 medals for 150 million people? Blame yourself.
Re: What sport can the world associate with Nigeria??
Nigeria is cursed, how can a population of 150 mil people not produce even mere zinc? are the people there weak or are they genetically cursed or something? shame!!!thank God i am not Nigerian.

Re: What sport can the world associate with Nigeria??
We're struggling right now with sports due to indecision and bad management. However, whenever a nigerian team shows up to play the opponent knows that have will have a game on their hands. Nigerians may not always play well but we play hard and fair. That, i'm proud of!
OCCUPY NFF!!
