Day 15 Action

Post by folem »

Our last realistic hope is gone in Taekwando. Chika Chukwumerije narrowly lost out 0-1 with less than a minute to go against Cuba's Robelis Despaigne in the round of 16, He still has a chance for a repechage to hunt for Bronze if Despaigne gets to the final.

We still have Andrew d#$% to fight in Wrestling.

How does the bronze medal match work for d#$%
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

CHUKWUMERIJE must be the unluckiest person...

Barely knocked out of Gold medal contention

Now.....he is barely knocked out of Bronze medal contention.

he limped off injured in his own match...just like he battled injury in Beijing.

Chukwumerije should have been a medal contender here.

In Wrestling.

But in Taekwondo, Robelis Despaigne is OUT so no repechage for Chukwumerije and no fight for Bronze.
