Re-watching and analysing the race again, it was observed that the fall was totally stimulated. It is legitimate though but the Bahamian girl deliberately went down on the line to deny Alyson the gold medal.

Americans have used that same tactic to win in the past. No one called it cheating then
But at least Bahamians, whose nation has only about 380,000 inhabitants, can celebrate, and perhaps it is only right that they get the chance. In 2008, in the men’s 400, the American sprinter David Neville dived — intentionally, in his case — across the finish line to snatch the bronze medal away from another sprinter.
That other sprinter was Chris Brown, who runs for the Bahamas.
