Thanks for the correction! I actually saw him in action as a very young kid during the late 70's. That's the year the late Henry Rono broke 4 world records in a period of 90 days. At the event, there was a very diminutive Ethiopian runner known as Miruts Yifter who had a devasting kick in the 10,000 meters. He looked at least 45 at the time I saw him run. I later learned that he won gold in Moscow Olympics a year or two later!

Once Cheptagat retires and our Kalenjins troop back to Kenya, there will be no medal in that country for a while. Unless you convince the Luos to do 400m hurdles. We can't handle anything longer than 800m. Did you see our basketball team from South Sudan?
