Yujam, I think it's the midfield. USA doesn't have a single controlling, orchestrating midfielder. They run a lot, remind me of a worse England team actually. McKennie is supposed to be the leader, but consistently breaks under pressure.
The central defense looks improved, as I like Zimmerman. But the outside backs commit howlers. Finally, Pulisic isn't exactly a star upfront either.
The burden of proof is on the USA team. Players on European clubs are touted, but they're hardly world beaters. And although this is progress, is it really better than similar claims from teams like Morocco, who also have a base of European players?
I have a bad feeling about USA.
