10 Ghanaians Who Will Be Playing for Other Nations

Ghana will be making their fourth appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a 26-man contingent. However, there are a host of other players of Ghanaian descent who will be featuring at the Mundial for different countries

      Nico Williams (Spain)
      Jeremy Baffour Doku (Belgium)
      Yunus Musah (USA)
      Haji Amir Wright (USA)
      Alphonso Davies (Canada)
      Richie Laryea (Canada)
      Jeremie Agyekum Frimpong (Netherlands)
      Memphis Depay (Netherlands)

From Mbappe of France and Embolo of Switzerland, there will be 35 players of cameroonian descent at the WC.

Is this their second citizenship, along with that of Ghana?
I wonder if such players can choose which country they play for if they have more than one citizenship?

In other words, there are only 7 players of other players of Cameroonian descent who will be featuring at the Mundial for different countries
That's the topic, so leave out the 26 playing for Cameroon

It simply means they could have chosen to play for Ghana, if they wanted to.

Chief, Fonzie may have been born in Ghana in a refugee camp, but his parents are from Liberia. So your "descent" thing is not strictly true. Yes, he was eligible to play for Canada, Liberia and Ghana. But na we get am now. :thumbs:
