According my Ghana bobos the Ayew brothers have the team in their pocket.

Andres Ayew's best days are surely well behind him.

Ghanians are actually good on the ball, if they take the game to Portugal, good things could happen.

In fairness to Inaki Williams, the lone striker role is one of the most difficult to play.

Ghana will need a GIFT!
Whatever an against the run of play goal is called, it is the margin of difference in a tight game.

Ghana has hope to pull it off.

Don't get me wrong, as I put higher odds on Portugal scoring 1st.

But, this is why we play.

Ayew is short one. If only they had someone that could receive the ball and bring others into play, Ghana would be in business

I think Otto Addo's tactic was to contain them in the first 45 minutes.

Asamoah Gyan in his prime would have done so well as a lone striker for Ghana and troubled Portugal more

Managers like Santos take all the joy out of football.

At times like this, I actually hate European football...
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

0-0 halftime. Ghana is playing the right game. They know Portugal is more talented, especially in attack, and therefore play defense.

I bet Ghana rightly judged Portugal to be the strongest team in this group. And hopes to get 1 point in the opener, setting up a better path forward...because Portugal will then have to beat Uruguay and SK.

Seems like the right game plan to me.

I have to give it to the Ghanaian coach, he seems to know his football. Hardly threatened. The problem is, can they keep it up?

Sounds about right, hopefully they can see the game out! But if they go down and have to chase the game it could leave them too open in the back for a really bad result…

Ghana has the Super Eagles defence of 94 - 98. Portual is finding it hard to penetrate them.

Ghana just needs the current Super Eagles style of attacking soccer.

Super Eagles need Black Stars defense and Black Stars need Super Eagles Attack
