the Italian team, 1982 WC and Morocco
They seem to be kind of similar , as far as defending and getting the job done

Yep, Morocco and Croatia kinda remind me of the Italian style

Not even slightly close...
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.
We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

there are a lot similarities, it isn't pretty and it can be very annoying going up against such...but my thing is why don't the opposition just keep shooting from distance and then overload the wings , whip crosses and hope a big man gets it.. that is how i would go against a park the bus team ,, constant long shots

First, Its a different era of football
Second, the tactical organization of both teams is different
Even the organization of the transition game is different- how they position on the crouch, the ball recovery approach and the actual breakout
I have watched that Italy 1082 team for more than 100 times- I kid you not!
Especially that Brazil game...
