I was confused, too. Unless the ref was claiming he had tackled aggressively with malintent to injure Hernandez, but I didn't think so.

France is built for this. Defense 1st. But incisive counters in number, with spells of hi-press.
Like I said, it's bad for any team to go down a goal to France.
It means exposing yourself to their fast and talented counterattacking offense.
And it takes serious offense to beat their defense.
