But that is the job of the modern wide player. I just don't buy it. Saka does this effortlessly most games.

Either he was ill or he is not the player I thought he was. France was shot 2 (Giroud was equally bad) i the first half.

Xhaka vs Portugal made the Portuguese look
like a fleet of gazelles with the skills of Zidane and Messi. That had to be the worst all time performance by a midfield anchor.

Why the Swiss coach decided to move him back there is beyond me
